HIJIRI BRAND CONCEPT
Through my silver design accessory brand "HIJIRI Silver works", I wish you find piece of true beauty of Japan.
Today, like other countries, Japan is also facing to the situation that good and respectable tradition is fading away, replaced by our modern convenient life style.
Our modern living, goods and services are focusing to maximize their profit in the macro market. Rationalization for optimizing mass consumption world and making more convenient goods and services.
New technology and innovations are great. My wish is simply that good Japanese traditional entertainment, technology, and ideology to be closer to you through my art, "HIJIRI Silver works".
My philosophy of design is;
- Accessory plays supporting role without exaggerating its existence
- Creation of harmonization in unbalanced matters
- Precise control of calculated tolerance for functional parts
- Use of intended empty spacing for flowing meaning
- Wabi-Sabi acceptance of imperfection and joy of time flow sense
All of above are traditional method of applying art, existing from ancient times in Japan.
I'd be pleased if my art brings opportunity of initial touch of Japan.

近年 高度成長を遂げた日本国は、合理化と利便性を追い求めた結果 様々な様式が近代化され 新しい時代へと移り変わってきました。
そのような時代の流れの中において 悪しき文化が衰退していくのは嬉しい限りなのですが、日本が世界に誇るべき様々な伝統芸能・技術・思想までもが時代の波にあおられて 縮小の方向を向いているように感じます。
そういった状況を危惧し、「もっと日本を身近に感じてもらおう」と考え立ち上げたのが 『“HIJIRI” Silver works』 です。
“HIJIRI”で デザインを起こしていくにあたり まず念頭に置くのは、
「過度に誇張しない 控え目な構成。」
「アンバランスな中にも調和を作り出すバランス感覚。」
「綿密な計算に基づいた 緻密な造作。」
「余白や空白に意味を見出す想像力。」
「“侘び” “寂び”といった 空虚感や時間の経過を楽しむ 奥深い美意識。」
といった事柄であり、それらは全て 日本古来からある伝統的な技法であります。
世界中の人々が“HIJIRI”の造形作品によって、日本の素晴らしい文化を知るきっかけになれば幸いです。
