『 仏頭 』
日本の仏像は 木材から彫り出されるのが主ですが、中には15mを超える金属製の“大仏”と呼ばれるものもあり、街の景観の一部として各地に点在しております。
宗教という枠組みを超えた いち“芸術作品”として親しまれている その仏像を、身に着けるアクセサリーに仕立てる事で より身近な存在に感じて頂けるよう製作しました。
ファッションアイテムとして十字架を身に着ける人々へのアンチテーゼ作品でもあります。
BUDDHA HEAD
Normally Japanese Buddha statures and figures are from wood. Some of them are metal made and large as over 15m high. People in Japan enjoy watching them not only through religion point of view, but also part of the nice view spot of the town. I made Buddha figures because I'd like people to feel it closer and enjoy the piece of art you wear. The Buddha on you might find it's about "nothing".
